This paddling adventure explores a small channel of the Savannah River near Hardeeville, then winds back to the main part of the river. The Savannah River is one of Georgia’s largest rivers, and is hundreds of feet wide in places. This section of the river is pristine and the banks are thick with vegetation. You will also explore some channels around Hardeeville. Trees that line the shores of this section of the river include moss festooned cypress, river-birch and a variety of different oak species. This part of the river is good for fishing too. There are several different species of fish, including largemouth bass, striped bass, bream and catfish.
